Flowers and Fruit Collection

I was inspired by a wonderful birthday party that my friend Dee put on for me this weekend. The theme was Tuscany, Italy because the two of us will be heading to Tuscany soon to celebrate a huge milestone in our lives - our 50th Birthday's. Dee made our backyard look like a Tuscan Villa.. I told her that we did not need to leave our backyard because it was so beautiful and looked so much like Tuscany... Here are a few photos from the party and what has inspired my Flowers and Fruit Collection of photography... here's to wonderful family and friends, good wine and soon to be TUSCANY!! Here we come....

Here's what came out of that evening and my inspiration for my Flowers and Fruit Collection!! Let me know what you think....

Matsiko World Orphans Choir visit to San Diego

Wow, what a wonderful time!! I blogged many months ago about working with the International Children's Network. Finally, after many months of anticipation, working to find host families and secure performances in San Diego the children arrived. The were in the San Diego area for the weeks of March 18-31st, 2012. It was the most incredible experience seeing these children have such a wonderful opportunity in the united states.

Here is the Story about Matsiko:

MATSIKO WORLD ORPHANS CHOIR
Born from a heart for every forgotten child in the unreached corners of the world, International Children’s Network began its choir program in 2008, with the first U.S. tour of Matsiko Children’s Choir. Matsiko was the first step toward bringing together children from the various countries in which ICN provides sponsorship networking and with its success, the World Orphans Choir was born. The World Orphans Choir tells the stories of the lives and cultures of children from Peru, India, and Liberia through song and dance as the children’s hearts connect with audiences everywhere.

One-to-One!Sponsorship
ICN’s believes in the power of the connection between our sponsors and the children they support. What makes our program unique is the trust we put in that power. Sponsors are given full access to our program through financial transparency and the ability to travel overseas to meet the child they support.
While many organization’s cease funding sponsorship when the child reaches or finishes high school, ICN continues. We believe that the most powerful way to help these children is to break the cycle of poverty, so that
their children are able to live a better life than they had. This is only made possible through a solid education that goes beyond high school and reaches through vocational school, university, and even beyond.
if you want more information about sponsoring a child just go to icnchildren.net
Here are some photos from their visit - our lives as well as their lives have been forever changed!!

Heres are some photos from their visit to SeaWorld San Diego.. Thank you SeaWorld for making our day so memorable!!

Holiday Cards

Hi Everyone,

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. It was fun working with Celeste and her puppy Tazio. Here are some shots from that photo shoot and the final outcome was this card that I designed for her family. What a lot of energy both the little girl and the puppy! So much fun though! I will now be taking appointment for seniors who will be graduating this year. Call me to schedule your appointment at 760-519-1556.
